Did I just stumble on some precious gems! Yahoo has an AP article that
discusses the California governorship issue and quotes our T3 star as
saying:
- "You haven't seen special effects like this since the California state
budget."
- "There is no money over there [in Iraq]. There's no leadership — pretty
much like California."
Also included in the article are some hilarious political quips from Leno
and Senator Kennedy.

Anecdotal:
 My
mission is to review T3. I hope you get as much out of this
Terminator 3 review as I put into but I'm sure that's impossible because I
spent way too much time writing this. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm a slow
writer. Please post your comments about this review. I'd really appreciate it
(you can post anonymously, if you want). Thanks to all the many new
illbeback.net visitors and supporters for being back.
It’s the only movie in which I was familiar with everyone in the opening
credits except the costume designer. As we were walking out of the theater
someone remarked that if machines ever tried to use a Skynet-like system to
overpower the Internet, the attack would immediately be squashed by pop-up ads.
I had to agree. Yeah, we could just spam the machines to death as in a denial of
service attack on an Internet or e-mail server.
One more note. It's positive and there are many spoilers so be careful if you
haven't seen the movie!

Customer Reviews at Amazon.com range from "Best Terminator
Score" to "Wasteful in the Extreme." That's quite a gap. If you've
heard the soundtrack or been to the movie, we'd love to hear what

I couldn't resist another T3 viewing yesterday. It was in a much
nicer theater with better sound quality than the one before. What
a difference that makes! I saw and heard some things I didn't
notice the first time around. This should help in writing the
upcoming review.

Director Jonathan Mostow travails over the expectations.
Jonathan Mostow, director of the upcoming sequel film Terminator 3: Rise of the
Machines, told SCI FI Wire that he felt the pressure of expectations about the
movie's reportedly huge budget, as well as expectations about a follow-up to
James Cameron's creative legacy in the previous two Terminator movies. "Before
the movie even started shooting, ... [the] Wall Street Journal ran this big
front-page piece, and the New York Times [and] L.A. Times ran a lot of stuff
about [the budget]," he said in an interview while promoting the movie.

| A Terminator 3 Movie Fan writes "McFarlane Press Release via PRNewswire--McFarlane Toys has signed a licensing agreement with Intermedia Film Distribution Ltd., to release action figures based on this summer's blockbuster film "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines."
McFarlane Toys will be releasing collectible action figures in conjunction with the domestic movie release on July 2, 2003 by Warner Bros. Pictures, an AOL Time Warner Company. These figures include:
T-850 with coffin -- This figure is the new Arnold Schwarzenegger character in "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," re-creating a scene from the film.
T-850 with weapons -- This version of the Arnold Schwarzenegger character features several weapons, including rifle and grenade launcher.
